There’s no denying that I love Instagram. There is no other social media channel that fuels my creativity and wanderlust at the same time.  The adventure and travel instagrammers take you to a place you either never knew existed and / or they leave you wishing you had captured that scene as polished as they have! So let’s dive in and explore ten adventure and travel Instagram accounts that will inspire you to get out and explore the world.

1. Emily Ristevski – @helloemilie

Emilie is a very talented photographer and storyteller based along the east coast of Australia.  Emilie takes you on a journey to waterfalls, beaches, mountains, vineyards and more across the world including Africa, New Zealand, the United States, Jordan, and Australia. Her images are bathed in natural light and soft tones and often feature her with her signature hats in the image.

2. Jarrad Seng – @jarradseng

Jarrad is another talented Aussie photographer and creative director who work is diverse and ranging from international music tours to working with some of the top tourism agencies around the world.  His enviable hair is also widely featured in his shots and his landscapes are always hair-raising and breathtaking at the same time.

3. Alex Strohl – @alexstrohl

Alex is a photographer and the founder of the feature account @stayandwander.  He will take you on a journey camping to all sorts of beautiful locations including Montana, British Columbia, Alaska, the Swiss Alps and more.

4. Larissa Dening – @larissadening

Larissa takes the most amazing, vibrant long exposures from all around the world.  Hailing from Australia, she has been to over 27 countries and counting.  According to Larissa, her favourite so far has been Switzerland.

5. Cole Rise – @colerise

Travel photographer, Cole Rise, has amassed almost one million followers on Instagram.  Cole will take you on a journey to some of the most beautiful destinations in the world including Hawaii, France, Italy, Turkey and Jordan.  He has also created several of Instagram’s preset filters and is the creator of the photo app Litely.

6. Johan Lolos – @lebackpacker

As mentioned on his web site “Johan Lolos is a Belgian-born self-taught travel/adventure photographer and he likes to call himself a world explorer with a passion for the outdoors and the wilderness.” Johan has had his shots featured in Mashable, National Geographic Travel, Outside Magazine and Huffington Post. He is currently out exploring Europe.

7. Chris Burkard – @chrisburkard

With over 1.6 million followers it’s easy to see why Chris has accumulated so many followers!  Based in California, Chris cites the ocean as his main muse however his gallery is also full of mountains, lakes, canyons and other roads less travelled.

8. Christian Schaffer – @christianannschaffer

Christian’s passion is travel and the outdoors and this is clearly visible in her shots. She is quite mobile – as she states on her website:

I’ve packed up my life and moved on 29 occasions, and changed my mailing address, officially, 30 times.

Her shots make you want to drag out the old backpack and hit the road travelling again.
